Both this FLS and Tauranga Hospital FLS are run by the same Health New Zealand health system and share a CNS team leader.

Service is base at Auckland Hospital and serves around 507,000 people.

Lead Clinician is an Endocrinologist.

People with fragility fractures are captured monthly by medical intelligence department .Fracture liaison service then investigates each person and refers as appropriate. Department has it own DEXA scanner. Intervention is via GP or Specialist.

Chi-Mei Hospital, Liouying

Chi-Mei hospital, Liouying, is a regional hospital with more than 800 wards and is also certificated as an age-friendly hospital. We built an FLS team in August 2019 and started the FLS program in Jan 2020 after being approved by Institutional Review Boards. We provide a hip and spine-based FLS program. Our FLS team includes a full-time coordinator, pharmacist, orthopedist, neurosurgeon, rheumatologist, endocrinologist, family physician, oncologist, and dentist. We join together and have a weekly meeting to provide collaborative care.

Shiroi Seijinkai Hospital

At our hospital, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, radiologists, nutritionists, pharmacists, and others gather to provide team medical care for osteoporosis. In addition to secondary fracture prevention, we are also working on primary fracture prevention so that we can contribute to the health of local residents.
