We provide services to osteoporosis patients in the Gazi University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, located in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, through the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Orthopedic clinics. In our hospital, patients who have experienced fragility fractures or have a risk of osteoporosis are identified, and appropriate treatment plans are devised.
In conservative treatment of osteoporotic vertebral fractures, determination of therapeutic effect of drugs is largely obstructed by varying level of the rest. To evaluate and control the non-weight-bearing periods has been shown to be effective in preventing collapse of vertebral body in the early stage of treatment of fresh vertebral fracture.

2022年4月よりOLS委員会発足。委員会構成メンバーは、整形外科医師、リハビリテーション科骨粗鬆症認定医師、口腔外科医師、急性期病棟看護師、回復期病棟看護師、外来看護師、薬剤師、理学療法士、作業療法士、歯科衛生士、臨床検査技師、放射線技師、薬剤師、管理栄養士、総務課、医事課、医事クラーク、MSWの多職種で構成。委員会でマニュアル及びプロトコル・パスを作成し、手順に沿い、各部署での日々の活動を実施。月1回委員会会議開催、退院後は骨粗鬆症マネージャーが電話連絡による追跡調査及び指導を実施しており、近隣の医療機関や介護福祉施設との連携も行い、活動を行っている。
