Hospital Nuestra Señora de Gracia is a public hospital attending a combined rural and urban population of some 220,000 in Zaragoza. Secondary fracture prevention activity began in 2009 and currently combines an Orthogeriatric Unit (OG) and a FLS service based on a Coordinator within a multidisciplinary team. At present, we apply a holistic approach to treating in-patient fragility fractures at the OG unit and we provide FLS standards for identification, assessment and treatment of both in- and out-patients.

Clinica Vistahermosa is a Spanish private hospital located in Alicante. The hospital serves a population of around 1.000.000 inhabitants between medical insurance companies and private patients.

The Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge is a public university hospital located near Barcelona and serving a population of about 200,000 people.
In March 2009, we began serving in-patients with hip fracture and coordinating with the pain clinic to address pain treatment simultaneously with the secondary prevention of fractures. Since May 2015, we have established a complete FLS, handling all types of fragility fractures and managing about 600 patients per year.  The unit is run by the Rheumatology Service with the support of the Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Services.

Located near the west coast line of central Taiwan, Lukang Christian Hospital has been conducting an investigive program of osteoporosis headed by clinician Dr. Shih-Te Tu since 2007. To serve the elderly residents in Lukang township, we have provided an age-friendly medical environment and developed specific education materials for those with established fractures or high risk for fractures.

The Police General Hospital is currently a fully-fledged state-run general 900-bed hospital and tertiary trauma center. The location is in the city center of Bangkok, Thailand. This hospital offers all the standard medical services expected from an accredited national medical facility and serves a population of around 320,000 people. The PGH’s liaison service handles all inpatients’ fragility fractures and serves about 120 patients per year.
