Our clinic is focused on managing musculoskeletal diseases and we have an FLS team composed of Orthopedic surgeons, Rheumatologists, endocrinologists, and Medical rehabilitation doctors together with nurses and physiotherapists. The patients with a frailty fracture presenting to the orthopedic services are evaluated by the FLS team. A comprehensive assessment is done evaluating risk factors for osteoporosis, secondary osteoporosis evaluation, and a fall risk is made. All patients are assessed and treated with Intravenous bisphosphonate therapy or denosumab.
Aneurin Bevan Fracture Liaison Service (AB-FLS) review all eligible patients over the age of 50 within the ABUHB catchment area who have suffered a fragility fracture. A
