The main purpose of our FLS is to provide continuity of care and ensure secondary prevention of osteoporosis in patients over 70 years who had suffered a hip fracture.

Our hospital is a tertiary hospital located in Madrid (Spain). Also our service is formed by four geriatricians where following all hip fractures in patients older than 80 years and other types of fractures, for example: pelvic fractures, periprothetic fracture, diaphyseal fractures.... admitted in Traumatology Surgery service from January 2021.

Fracture Liaison Service Hamad General Hospital (FLS) is responsible for identification, investigation and initiation of osteoporosis treatment for patients above 50 years presenting with fragility fractures to Hamad General Hospital or Bone and Joint center (BJC), the orthopedics outpatient department.

The Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe is located in Medellín, Colombia. It´s a center of high complexity that receives patients from the metropolitan area of Valle de Aburrá, with a population of 4.055.296 habitans. Our FLS is integrated to Ortogeriatrics program that takes care to older people with frailty fractures. 

Nuestra Unidad de Prevención de fracturas está liderada por un facultativo especialista en Medicina Física y Rehabilitación (Maria Redondo) y otro de Reumatología (Marta Llanes) y funciona desde hace un año. Hemos ido creciendo y creando protocolos de reclutamiento  de pacientes, actuación y seguimiento.

Estamos en continuo crecimiento de recursos humanos y materiales. Además de nuestras consultas está en proyecto un taller de prevención de caídas.

Estamos en este programa para co-manejo de pacientes de 65 años o más con fractura de fémur proximal, desde que llegan al hospital, luego manejo prequirúrgico, manejo quirúrgico con médicos ortopédicos, luego estado posquirúrgico, y el seguimiento de los pacientes un mes para darles antirresortivo. tratamiento, luego 2 meses, un año y 2 años después. 

Konum itibariyle Ankara'nın merkezi bölgesinde olup, tanı ve tedavi, takip açısından erişelebilir konumdadır. Osteoporoz konusunda bilgili ve deneyimli hekimlerin olduğu, diğer branşlarla (nöroloji, ortopedi, kadın doğum ve beyin cerrahisi) branşlarıyla ortak hasta takip eden multidisipliner yaklaşımı oluşturup sürdüren bir yapıda çalışılmaktadır.
