In addition to an inpatient orthogeriatric liaison service, we provide fall & fracture assessment and secondary prevention for patients who present with fragility fractures systemically. The main focus is on patients with fragility hip fractures.
I am chief of Orthopaedics and Traumatology Clinics in Izmir. We have 44 beds and our hospital is reference centre. Every week we operate at least 5 hip fractures in elderly population. In addition we treat other sites of osteoporotic fractures as wrist and humerus.Therefore our clinics can be a significant centre for osteoporosis preoperatively and / or postoperatively.

FLS have demonstrated to be effective in preventing fractures and protect the bones of our patients.
