日本骨粗鬆症学会の骨粗鬆症認定医と骨粗鬆症マネージャーが１名ずつ在籍しており、大腿骨近位部骨折と脊椎椎体骨折患者さんに対して、多職種(医師・薬剤師・看護師・管理栄養士・メディカルクラーク・理学療法士)で連携した二次性骨折予防を取り組んでおります。

また、骨粗鬆症認定医による骨粗鬆症専門外来を週１回行っております。一次性骨折予防にも取り組んでいます。

Osteoporosis clinic in Diabetes and Endocrine Centre, King Fahad Hospital Madina. Saudi Arabia 

A tertiary referral centre for Severe osteoporosis, well equipped with state-of-the art diagnostic equipment and experienced Endocrinologist with special interest in the diagnosis and management of various categories of osteoporosis. 

In our hospital we take care of fracture patients by an outpatient and inpatient FLS. There is a geriatric unit in which al geriatric fracture patients are screened and if indicated are treated for osteoporosis by a geriatrician. All other fracture patients are invited on our outpatient FLS clinic. All general practitioners in our area are familiair with the FLS. If a patient do not respond on our invitation for screening, the general practitioner receives a warning and tries to screen the patient.  

The Orthopaedic Centre of fractures and Bonehealth (OCB) at Stavanger University Hospital,  give all the patients with a fracture and age 50 years or older an appointment at the OCB. The hospital provides all the fracture treatment in an area for 380 000 inhabitants. Two DXA scans machines and two FLS-nurses provides about 4000 scans/year.

入院患者に対しては、一次骨折予防のOLSも試行している。

ＤXA検査設備を地域の診療所などに開放している。
