我々は、救急車は断らないを基本理念とした、地域密着型の小規模な急性期病院でFLSを積極的に行っています。また、自らの実臨床を客観的に評価するため学術にも力を入れ研鑽しています。その中で、大腿骨近位部骨折手術症例では、救急搬送後すぐに関連職種による各種評価（フレイル含め）や必要に応じて内科へ紹介され、手術待機時間は約25時間となり、翌日離床が当然の業務となっています。また、重症骨粗鬆症性椎体骨折症例では、急性期の段階から関連回復期病院入院中の期間も含めて、テリパラチド連日製剤を病院からの持ち出しで導入し、安心安全のため看護師による指導を入院中から複数回行っています。最後に、骨粗鬆症治療については、急性期の段階から適切な検査（DEXA・代謝マーカー等）を行い治療を開始するように努めています。また、最近では専属のデータベースを管理する部署を院内に設置し、治療開始率、継続率、追跡率と飛躍的に向上させています。

The Fracture Liaison Service of the Red Cross Hospital of Curitiba, Brazil, is working since 2018, under the lead of the orthopedic surgeon,  Dr. André Manoel Inácio, and it is the first FLS established in the State of Paraná.

We are a high complexity hospital with more than 3,600 orthopedic consultations per month.

Waikato hospital located in Hamilton New Zealand is a public hospital with a network of 5 rural hospitals servicing a population of over 430,00 people. The FLS service has Ortho-geriatric clinical lead and manages all inpatient and outpatient fragility fractures for the Waikato DHB area. 

Hawkes Bay Fracture Liaison Service is based in Hastings, New Zealand, at Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. The hospital serves our region of around 180,000 people.

The Lead Clinician is a senior geriatrician, whilst a physiotherapist runs the service, assessing people aged 50 years and older.
