Tainan Hospital MOHW is a public regional and one of the oldest hospitals in Taiwan which was founded in 1896. The osteoporotic comprehensive care service including Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) has been running since 2018 in Tainan Hospital. Professor Yen kuang Yang is now the superintendent of Tainan Hospital.

2015年4月からOLSチームを立ち上げ、医師をはじめ、病棟看護師、外来看護師、薬剤師、理学療法士、作業療法士、管理栄養士、放射線技師、事務の多職種で活動している。

Patients with fragility fractures (age > 50) are referred for FLS via department of orthopedics.  Hip-fractures are evaluated during the primary admission and medical treatment is initiated primarily. We have a focus on vertebral fractures in 2022 with implementation of an AI to find incident vertebral fractures at CT scans and extended collaboration the patients with clinical vertebral fractures.
