O PREVFRA2 (Programa de Prevenção da Segunda Fratura) existe desde 2019 e vem aperfeiçoando constantemente seus processos baseando-se nas recomendações atualizadas da IOF. Está inserido no serviço de Ortopedia e Traumatologia do Hospital de Força Aérea do Galeão (HFAG), unidade de alta complexidade da Força Aérea Brasileira na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. O serviço de Ortopedia possui emergência 24 horas e presta atendimento ambulatorial em diversas sub-especialidades ortopédicas.
Flinders Medical Centre
In 2014 the Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care at Flinders Medical Centre established first in South Australia Fragility Fracture Service which provides a highly effective solution in bridging clinical and service gaps in management of fragility fractures. It is multidisciplinary service, which includes Rehabilitation Physician, Dietician, Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse, and functions as a " one stop shop".
Taipei Municipal Wanfang Hospital (Managed by Taipei Medical University)
Taipei Municipal Wanfang Hospital is a medical center located in Taipei, Taiwan, serving at least 300,000 local residents. The elderly constitute the main ethnic group, accounting for 20% of all residents. Every year, more than 600 geriatric patients attended to our hospital for management of fragile fractures including hip, vertebral and wrist fractures. However, only less than 35% of these geriatric victims with fragile fractures received anti-osteoporotic treatment, accounting for high refracture risk among them.
