Capture the Fracture’s spotlight campaign reflects FLS’ team spirit and dedication

Fracture Liaison Service of the JCHO Tamatsukuri Hospital, Matue, Japan

Capture the Fracture® (CTF) celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2022, and it was an ideal occasion to put a spotlight on the achievements of CTF’s extraordinary network of Fracture Liaison Services (FLS) around the world with a dedicated social media campaign.

A total of 36 FLS participated and we shared the impressive photos and messages in close to 100 social media posts on IOF’s communication channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. Between September 1, 2022 and January 23, 2023 the campaign reached more than 57,200 people worldwide.

Dr Philippe Halbout, CEO of the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) stated:

“We extend our thanks to the 36 FLS teams which have participated in this special celebratory campaign. The social media campaign reflected the wonderful team spirit and dedication that is at the heart of every FLS.  Although the campaign spotlights only a small portion of the CTF Network, it has drawn attention to the important work of all FLS which work tirelessly to improve post-fracture care for their patients. Altogether, the CTF network of 810 FLS sees more than 460,000 patients annually, thus making an important contribution to secondary fracture prevention and patient outcomes in 53 countries.

Congratulations to all!”
