The Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) at JSS Hospital, Mysuru, is a multidisciplinary initiative aimed at improving secondary fracture prevention.
The service brings together the Departments of Endocrinology, Orthopaedics, Geriatrics and Nutrition to facilitate the identification, evaluation and management of patients at risk of subsequent fractures. It focuses on osteoporosis assessment, appropriate treatment, falls prevention, nutritional optimisation, patient education and follow-up care.
The programme aims to establish a sustainable model of coordinated fracture prevention within routine hospital practice.
