Hospital Galdakao-Usansolo

Our Bone Fracture Clinic (FLS), managed by the Internal Medicine department, treats patients with osteoporotic fractures, or at risk of fracture, both as inpatients and outpatients. Nursing staff explain treatments and train patients in their chosen treatment before discharge. Recognized by the IOF in 2018. In 2022, we were selected as an FLS of Excellence for the FLS Excellence project of the Spanish Society of Bone and Mineral Metabolism (SEIOMM), which identifies leading FLSs at the national level and empowers them to provide information and training to facilitate the creation of new FLSs in Spain. We participate in the REFRA registry of the Spanish Society of Bone and Mineral Metabolism.
