The Department of Rheumatology at University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City is recognized as a key referral center for musculoskeletal and autoimmune diseases in southern Vietnam. The department is dedicated to providing high-quality clinical care, advancing research, and fostering medical education in rheumatology, including the field of osteoporosis.
The department has established a Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) designed to identify, treat, and monitor patients with osteoporotic fractures. This program integrates evidence-based diagnostic tools—such as DXA scanning and biochemical testing—with patient education and structured follow-up to prevent secondary fractures and reduce long-term complications.
Through multidisciplinary collaboration and a commitment to continuous improvement, the department aims to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the advancement of comprehensive Rheumatologic care in Vietnam.
