Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region
As the largest tertiary-class general hospital of traditional Chinese medicine in the northwest region, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine has 3,500 open beds and 46 specialists in osteoporosis, including 8 chief physicians and 6 full-time FLS nurses. It is also equipped with a dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry device.
We have established a combined Chinese and Western medicine FLS system. The information system has achieved a 100% screening rate for fracture patients. Over the past three years, we have managed 6,120 fracture patients, with a bone density test coverage rate of 99.2%, a medication compliance rate of 92.5%, and a secondary fracture rate reduced to 3.1% through graded follow-up. The hospital has 358 research projects, 22 national natural science foundation projects, and 104 provincial and ministerial-level research projects. We have organized 4 provincial-level training courses for 600 grassroots medical staff, conducted over 20 free screening activities each year, and published 16 related papers. All key indicators fully meet the international Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) FLS gold standard, making us the core osteoporosis prevention center in Xinjiang region.
