The Second Hospital of Jilin University

The Department of Osteoporosis at The Second Hospital of Jilin University, established in 2022, is the first in Northeast China. Led by Dr. Wang Yao, our team includes specialists and highly skilled nursing staff, with 58 beds and an active daily outpatient clinic that serves nearly 2,000 visits and discharges around 300 patients monthly. We adhere to nationally recognized protocols for diagnosing and managing osteoporosis, supported by a dedicated Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) that provides structured follow-up for high-fracture-risk patients. Through the FLS, we focus on comprehensive fracture prevention, personalized treatment plans, and patient education. Supported by national grants and international collaborations, our department continues to advance in both clinical practice and research.
