The Fracture Liaison Service program started since Feb, 2024 until present. This is a multidisciplinary osteoporosis program under the leadership of a senior orthopedic surgeon Dato Mr. Parameswaran, in collaboration with the hospital quality team, nurses, and physiotherapist. The program aims to improve early identification, prevention, and management of osteoporosis among the high risk patients' aged 50 and above. Key components include:
1. Developing clinical pathways for fracture risk assessment and osteoporosis management.
2. Coordinating care across departments to ensure timely diagnosis and intervention.
3. Engaging nursing and physiotherapy teams for patient education, rehabilitation and fall prevention.
4. Monitor program outcomes to ensure adherence to quality standards and continuous compliances.
