Anhui No. 2 Provincial People's Hospital

This hospital-based Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) delivers secondary fracture prevention for patients with fragility fractures, including vertebral, hip and other low-trauma fractures. We systematically identify eligible patients from orthopaedic, radiology and inpatient wards, arrange bone mineral density (QCT/DXA) testing, osteoporosis assessment, falls risk evaluation and guideline-concordant anti-osteoporotic treatment initiation. A dedicated FLS coordinator tracks follow-up, medication adherence and links patients with primary care. Our service aims to close the post-fracture care gap, reduce refracture risk, relieve pain and improve long-term mobility and quality of life for older adults. We follow the Capture the Fracture Best Practice Framework standards for consistent, sustainable care
