Department of Orthopedics II (High-tech Zone), Sichuan Provincial Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine is a comprehensive department integrating clinical care, teaching, and research with a focus on integrated TCM and Western medicine. It is a Key Specialty of Sichuan Province and a construction unit of the Provincial "Flagship" Department for TCM-WM Integration. Several physicians hold positions such as standing committee member, council member, or committee member in provincial orthopedic societies. The department has led and participated in provincial research projects. Annual clinical volume exceeds 20,000 outpatient visits, 2,000 inpatient admissions, and 1,000 surgeries. Treatment includes surgical management of limb, pelvic, intra-articular, and spinal fractures; surgical and minimally invasive treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis, cervical/lumbar disc herniation, and spondylolisthesis; hip/knee replacement for femoral head avascular necrosis and joint degeneration; and arthroscopic treatment for rotator cuff tears, meniscal tears, cruciate ligament ruptures, and gouty arthritis.
