New FLS
The Osteoporosis care path FLS at az Sint Blasius is a multidisciplinary collaboration between departments of geriatrics, endocrinology, rheumatology, radiology, physical medicine, orthopedic surgy and neurosurgey, in close connection with every department of the hospital because of the importance of fracture prevention.
With IT-supported software, patients with high fracture risk are automatically detected and subsequently screend by a motivated team of clinicians. They inform the general practitioner, DEXA / VFA analysis and biochemistry is scheduled, after which guideline based state-of-the-art diagnosis, treatment and follow-up is initiated.
