Taiyuan Central Hospital
Taiyuan Central Hospital is a Grade III-A general hospital, and its Department of Orthopedics is a Key Clinical Specialty of Taiyuan City. The department has long made osteoporosis care a clinical priority, routinely performing minimally invasive surgery for osteoporotic hip and vertebral fractures (PKP/PVP). Senior specialists provide standardized assessment, individualized pharmacotherapy, and long-term follow-up. In-house facilities include dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) and bone metabolism marker testing, with close collaboration with endocrinology, geriatrics, radiology, and rehabilitation medicine. The hospital plans to join the IOF "Capture the Fracture" program and establish a Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) to systematically identify, assess, and treat every fragility fracture patient, closing the gap in post-fracture management and reducing the burden of recurrent fractures.
