Our service provides systematic and protocolized care for all patients over 75 years of age who present with a hip fracture, ensuring a comprehensive approach that begins at hospital admission and continues throughout recovery and outpatient follow-up. Our model is based on a highly coordinated multidisciplinary team composed of specialists in geriatrics, traumatology, rehabilitation, occupational therapy, specialized nursing, nutrition, and social work, allowing us to jointly address the medical, functional, nutritional, and social aspects related to fragility fractures in older adults.

We have a dedicated orthogeriatrics and falls outpatient clinic, where we perform osteoporosis evaluation, comprehensive geriatric assessment, individualized nutritional intervention, optimization of pharmacological treatment, and the development of personalized fall-prevention strategies. This clinic plays a key role in ensuring continuity of care and promoting treatment adherence.

In addition, we offer a Geriatric Day Hospital focused on intensive functional recovery, aimed at improving mobility, strength, and patient autonomy after a fracture. Our main objective is to improve quality of life, reduce complications, prevent new fractures, and ensure coordinated, efficient, and person-centered care for older adults with hip fractures.
