Our FLS is an orthopaedic‑led multidisciplinary service targeting patients with fragility fractures. We systematically identify inpatients and outpatients with low‑trauma fractures, conduct bone health assessment including bone mineral density testing, laboratory screening, osteoporosis diagnosis, medication initiation and long‑term follow‑up. The team consists of orthopaedic specialists, FLS coordinator and nurses. We provide patient education on fall prevention, calcium/vitamin D supplementation and medication adherence. The service aims to close the post‑fracture care gap, reduce refracture risk and improve long‑term bone health for local elderly population, complying with IOF FLS best‑practice standards.
